A Mongolian BBQ at the river near town attracted not only over 100 Black-eared Kites, but also another wing-tagged Mongolian Gull.

Other noteworthy birds at the river included 2+26 Mongolian Finches. In the poplar plantations 2 White-crowned Penduline Tits and 1 Brown Shrike were seen. Last year’s only Brown Shrike in Khovd turned up on June, 6th.
