Government to Sell Large Percentage of Endangered Falcons to Arabia

A CONTRACT between the Ministry of Environment and the Emir of Saudi Arabia, Faisal Bin Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, means about 240 saker falcons will be caught and taken from 12 aimags around Mongolia. If estimates are correct, this could mean as many as 25-50 percent of the nation’s entire saker population are to be exported to the Middle East in the next week. Read more:
